Here at the Raya Clinic we utilize a variety different nutritional testing procedures
- Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA)
- Hair analysis
- Urinalysis
- Saliva Hormone Testing
CRA is used in order to make sure that our patients are not suffering from a nutritional imbalance or deficiency. Once they are tested the doctor can then better diagnose the proper supplements the patient will need in order to heal as quickly as possible. The test can also determine if the patient’s current supplements are working or not. It is possible that certain bargain supplements could be either not working at all or even hurting the patient’s current condition.
Hair Analysis and Urinalysis are used primarily to diagnose levels of toxic metals in the system such as lead, mercury, copper, and aluminum… and also levels of minerals in the body such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, etc... Hair analysis is different that a blood test for one main reason. A hair test tells you how your body has been functioning over months to years depending on how much hair growth is present, where as a blood test only gives you a snapshot of what you body is doing at the time the blood was drawn.
Saliva Hormone testing is utilized to test for hormone levels such as DHEA, testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone. Many times symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, irregularity, early menopause and decreased bone mineralization (osteoporosis) are hormone related. Proper supplementation may help balance these hormones and alleviate some of those symptoms.
