Dr. Stacey K. Raya — Founder of the Raya Clinic
Dr. Stacey Raya is the founder of the Raya Clinic located in Southington, CT, and has been in practice for 20 years. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Manalapan, NJ. She graduated in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1990 from New York Chiropractic College.
While in practice, Dr. Raya has earned three Post-Doctorate degrees. She became a Diplomate in Pediatrics and Obstetrics in 1998 while concurrently passing the Board to become a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. She is board eligible for her Diplomate in Acupuncture, and is certified as an Orthopedic Acupunturist. Her nutritional expertise comes from certification in a form of Applied Kinesiology called Contact Reflex Analysis. This technique allows her to determine what vitamins, minerals or nutritional supplements the patient’s body is lacking and what organs need support. She also uses her certification in Cranial Sacral Therapy to complement her chiropractic and acupuncture balancing techniques.
Dr. Raya has an outstanding reputation in the holistic health care field. Her philosophy is based on the premise of the “Triad of Health” which is a combination of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Nutrition. This is accomplished by balancing the energy in the body through acupuncture, helping the body heal itself by assessing and correcting nutritional needs, and by restoring optimal function by removing interference in the nervous system using chiropractic adjustments.By combining her years of experience in these three areas of expertise, she has helped to heal thousands of patients during her career.Dr. Raya continues to welcome and enjoys treating the most challenging cases involving pain, chronic illness, and emotional trauma.
When not practicing or attending postgraduate seminars, Dr. Raya spends all of her time with her husband, Vincent, three sons Joey, Anthony and Michael, and their large extended family.

Dr. Aaron M. Curtiss – Associate Doctor 
Dr. Aaron M. Curtiss recently joined The Raya Clinic team. Dr. Curtiss graduated from New York Chiropractic College and comes to the clinic with a wide range of experience in healthcare field. Dr. Curtiss has recently come back to CT after working at a patient center chiropractic facility in Depew, NY. He has also spent time working in Veteran’s Affair hospital in Buffalo, NY and was a certified nurse’s aide and worked at a assisted living center in Ithaca, NY. Dr. Curtiss area of specialty is athletic rehabilitation and training, ergonomics and extremities. Dr. Curtiss is an avid athlete and participates in playing/coaching basketball, softball, weight training, running, gardening, tennis and anything that gets him moving.

Dr. Jessica Bellinger - Clinical Coordinator 
Dr. Jessica graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. In her time at Palmer College she was the President of the Bio Geometric Integration Club and a member of the Sacro-Occipital Technique. Dr. Jessica's clinical experience includes the care of the patients overseas in India. While studying at Palmer, she obtained course certification Activator and Flexion/Distraction Technique in addition to diversified, Thompson, toggle and Gonstead Technique. Dr. Jessica is excited to be a new member to the Raya clinic and looks forward to helping the patients at The Raya Clinic reach their healthcare goals. In her free time, Dr. Jessica enjoys hiking and photography.

Nick Karapasas, D.C - Associate doctor
Dr. Karapasas is a Connecticut and Massachusetts board certified 2008 alumnus of New York Chiropractic College. Concurrent with his undergraduate education at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Karapasas was on staff at the SUNY at Dental School and the SUNY at Buffalo Living Well Center, where he taught courses on such varied subjects as Meditation, Medical Ethics and Women's Self-protection.
In early 2008, he was honored to be selected as the first to serve for three trimesters as an intern at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD where he was able to care for our nation's heroes and leaders. During this phase of his career, he trained and served alongside other physicians thoughout the hospital. Most notable was service in the departments of Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, Neurosurgery and Pain Management.
Additionally, Dr. Karapasas has recieved post-graduate training in nutrition and acupuncture and regularly attends many other post-graduate seminars in the fields of adjustive techniques, rehabilitation and diagnosis.
He has treated elite athletes at competitive athletic events, including the New York City Marathon, New York Finger Lake triathlons, multiple NCAA competitions, and many other sporting events and has a focus on increasing human performance through natural means.
Dr. Karapasas also holds advanced certification in martial arts and meditation.
Dr. Joseph Giannattasio - Associate Doctor
Dr. Joseph Giannattasio recieved a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in 1994. He then earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree 2001 from National College of Chiropractic in Chicago and completed post-graduate study in acupuncture. Joseph's clinical training was at the National University of Health Sciences student clinic in Chicago.
Dr. Giannattasio has 10 years of practice experience. He specializes in management of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, utilizing various manual techniques, clinical nutrition and acupuncture to maximize patient healing. Joseph especially enjoys working with children.
Dr. Giannattasio enjoys spending all of his free time with his wife, Christy, and children Joey and Samantha. Together they enjoy fishing, boating, hiking and traveling.
